About this program
A power tiller costs more than most smallholders earn in a year, and renting one at peak season eats the season's margin. We co-fund tillers, threshers and shallow tube wells that are owned and rented out by farmer groups.
Each piece of equipment is registered with the group, has a written rate card, and pays into a maintenance and replacement fund.
